Role Description The Vice President of Commercial Operations is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s commercial strategy and execution. This role leads the development of sales processes, performance metrics, and operational frameworks that support revenue growth and client satisfaction. Day-to-day responsibilities include aligning sales and business planning activities, monitoring key performance indicators, and ensuring that commercial initiatives are delivered on time and within budget. The Vice President partners with leadership to refine go-to-market strategies, evaluate new business opportunities, and improve sales effectiveness across teams. This role also involves mentoring commercial team members, implementing best practices, and coordinating cross-functional efforts to streamline operations and enhance profitability.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in Sales and Sales Effectiveness, with a track record of driving revenue growth and improving sales performance.
- Strong Strategic Planning and Business Planning skills, including experience designing and implementing commercial strategies and go-to-market plans.
- Experience with Budgeting and financial oversight, including managing commercial budgets and monitoring financial performance.
- Proven leadership and people management abilities, with experience guiding cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with comfort using data and metrics to inform strategy.
- Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to present complex commercial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Prior experience in a senior commercial, operations, or revenue leadership role; experience in technology, analytics, or related industries is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
