The Vice President of Business Development serves as the central leader for the company's growth strategy and external partnerships, assuming comprehensive responsibility for new business expansion, strategic alliances, market entry, and business model innovation. Through identifying growth opportunities, cultivating a collaborative ecosystem, and driving the execution of strategic initiatives, this role continuously expands the company's business scale and market influence, thereby supporting its medium-to-long-term development strategy.
**Key Responsibilities**
**I. Business Development Strategy & Growth Planning**
* Formulate the company's medium-to-long-term business development strategies and annual growth plans.
* Identify new opportunities across markets, customer segments, products, and business models.
* Ensure that business expansion directions align with the company's overall corporate strategy and financial objectives.
**II. New Business Expansion & Market Entry**
* Lead the formulation and implementation of market entry strategies for new markets, industries, and geographic regions.
* Evaluate market size, competitive landscapes, and market entry pathways.
* Drive new business initiatives from the proof-of-concept stage through to large-scale implementation.
**III. Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Building**
* Establish and manage key strategic partnerships and alliances.
* Drive the development of joint solutions, channel partnerships, and ecosystem initiatives.
* Represent the company in high-level business negotiations and partnership agreement signings.
**IV. M&A, Investment, & Strategic Project Support**
* Participate in the identification and evaluation of M&A opportunities, investments, joint ventures, and strategic projects.
* Support commercial due diligence, valuation analysis, and transaction structuring.
* Assist in realizing business synergies and growth objectives during post-merger integration (PMI).
**V. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Implementation**
* Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams.
* Drive the execution and implementation of business expansion projects.
* Ensure that business development objectives are translated into measurable performance outcomes.
**VI. Performance Management & Data-Driven Decision Making**
* Establish business development KPIs and performance evaluation frameworks.
* Monitor the progress and ROI of business expansion projects.
* Continuously optimize business development strategies based on data analysis.
**VII. Team Building & Leadership**
* Build and lead the business development team.
* Develop talent possessing strategic vision, sound business judgment, and strong execution capabilities.
* Foster a results-oriented, collaborative, and win-win business development culture.
**Qualifications**
**Education:**
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
* MBA, EMBA, or international educational background is preferred. **Work Experience:**
20+ years of experience in business development, strategy, sales, or related fields;
At least 15 years of experience in managing business development or strategic partnership teams;
Proven track record of successfully driving new business initiatives or strategic partnerships.
