GLC Group Executive Search team is in search for a Vice President of Financial Accounting for a well-established and growing real estate organization based in South Florida.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting executive with a strong background in real estate accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, technical accounting, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic leadership and a hands-on approach to managing complex accounting operations across a multi-entity platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all corporate and property-level accounting operations across multiple entities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Manage consolidated financial reporting and intercompany eliminations
- Ensure GAAP compliance and oversight of complex accounting models and calculations including ASC 606 and lease accounting
- Drive the annual audit process and implementation of new accounting pronouncements
- Develop technical accounting memos and support internal control initiatives
- Partner closely with executive leadership, operations, and finance teams
- Mentor and build a scalable accounting team focused on accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
- Evaluate and improve ERP systems, reporting processes, and accounting technology
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA required
- 10+ years of accounting experience with significant real estate accounting exposure
- Strong technical GAAP and financial reporting expertise
- Experience managing accounting operations within complex ownership structures
- Background in public accounting is a plus
- ERP experience required; Yardi experience strongly preferred
