Main Responsibilities:
Accounting close and control
- To perform accounting close and control, ensure closing adjustments are taken up before the closure of accounting period.
- To liaise with Porto and India support team for accounting close and control.
- To liaise with the respective stakeholders on any breaks identified from accounting control to ensure the appropriate remediation action is taken before the closure of accounting period.
- Review, approve and post journal entries being raised by other team members.
- Perform LDO1 control procedures for the accounts being assigned.
Group reporting
- Responsible for the preparation of head office reporting using internal system.
- To make sure that all numbers are in line with what is required for this scheme.
Local regulatory reporting
- Responsible for creation of local regulatory reports (monthly / quarterly / semi-annual / annual) for Natixis SA, Tokyo branch.
- Creation of daily trial balance sheet which is underlying data for Finance related to local regulatory reports and daily reporting being owned by the other department.
Projects and change management
- Standardize and automate accounting process.
- Support projects such as Tokyo branch banking license projects, system implementation testing and etc.
Others
- Involved in the preparation and accounting for local tax filing closely liaising with external Tax adviser and regional tax department offshore.
- Support Head of Finance, Japan in terms of corresponding to accounting review / audit and tax audit etc.
- Accounting procedures and user guide manuals update.
- Contribute to other projects and NPNA process.
- Troubleshooting.
Required Skills:
- Required experience working in the accounting departments in the security firms or banks or experience working in audit firms.
- Accounting skill and knowledge for local GAAP or IFRS.
- Knowledge and experience over Japanese tax rules and calculation.
- Understanding of banking or securities business and knowledge of financial products.
- Required Excel skill handing a lot of data.
- Required business English skill.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in Finance transformation, such as automation, streamline processes, project management skill will be plus.
- Strong knowledge in accounting systems and data.
