Seeking an energetic Vice President Finance who will work side by side as a partner and report to the CEO to build out this high-growth PE-Backed business.
The ideal candidate will have on hands on, roll-up their sleeves and get it done mentality, values people, and can build a culture of engagement and communication.
The Vice President Finance will direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth.
Duties/Responsibilities/Required Skills:
- Serve as key member of the senior management team, partnering in growing the business
- Lead annual budget and multi-year forecasting processes.
- Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, etc.
- Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
- Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
- Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
- Lead and build out as necessary the finance team to support the company’s growth
- Experience in food, flavor, confectionary or chemicals is desirable.
- Entrepreneurial mind-set and flexible, agile leader, who thrives in a positive environment.
- Effective in leading by influencing others and valuing people in building an organization.
- Strong business acumen, strategic partner to CEO with professional presence.
- Proven ability to attract, develop, retain, and motivate a team.
- A combination of large company and small company career experience (or equivalent) is desirable; someone who is sophisticated enough to build a business, but still somewhat hands on.
