Vice President – Portfolio Valuation
Leadenhall Search is partnering with an employee-owned boutique investment bank and valuation advisory firm that is looking to hire a Vice President into its growing Valuation & Financial Advisory practice. The firm has built a strong reputation for delivering independent, high-quality valuation, financial advisory and investment banking services, combining the expertise of a larger platform with the agility and collaborative culture of a boutique.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced portfolio valuation professional looking to take on greater client ownership, lead complex engagements, mentor junior team members, and play an active role in the continued growth of a highly respected advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead complex business and security valuation engagements across a broad range of industries and asset classes.
- Manage client relationships from initial scoping through to final delivery.
- Review and oversee sophisticated financial models and valuation reports supporting financial reporting, transaction opinions and tax-related engagements.
- Value a variety of financial instruments including preferred and common equity, warrants, options, convertible notes, debt instruments and structured securities.
- Mentor and develop Associates and Senior Associates while managing multiple concurrent engagements.
- Support business development by participating in proposal discussions, pricing, client presentations and relationship building.
- Work closely with senior leadership on practice development initiatives and the continual enhancement of valuation methodologies.
Desired Requirements:
- 5+ years of valuation experience within a valuation advisory, financial advisory, Big Four, investment banking or specialist valuation practice.
- Strong experience across business valuations, financial reporting valuations and transaction-related work.
- Expertise with valuation methodologies including DCF, public comparables, transaction comparables, OPM, PWERM and other complex valuation techniques.
- Experience preparing or reviewing valuation reports and complex financial models.
- Strong client-facing, project management and communication skills.
- CPA, CFA or ASA qualifications are highly regarded.
