The Opportunity:
Redefine Venture Capital with AI
This is not your typical Venture Capital Analyst position. We are looking for an early‑career professional—an AI native, a builder at heart and a sharp analytical thinker—who is on the bleeding edge of generative models. You will help build the AI tools that will become the core of our VC operating system.
What You’ll Do as a Venture Analyst
You’ll be immersed in the core functions of a venture capital firm, learning exactly what we do before reinventing how we do it.
- Deal Screening & Analysis: Work alongside our AI, ‘Iva’, to perform analysis and conduct comprehensive deal screens on prospective portfolio companies. Record and summarize all interactions and findings in our deal flow management system.
- Research & Due Diligence: Conduct strategic primary and secondary research on new companies and relevant industries, summarizing your findings in concise and impactful reports.
- Investment Memos & LP Communications: Build professional presentations and prepare detailed, AI‑augmented investment memos for the partnership. Aid in communications with our Limited Partners.
- Portfolio Support: Meet regularly with our portfolio companies to assist in their strategic development and understand their challenges.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on emerging technologies and global Fintech trends to provide new data for our AI systems and identify new investment theses.
- Content & Reporting: Collaborate in creating content for Impression Ventures, assist in publishing thought leadership, and write AI‑assisted quarterly reports.
As an AI Innovator
- AI Engine Development: Take ownership of and enhance ‘Iva’, while developing and deploying a broader suite of proprietary tools built upon our internal database of over 8,000 companies.
- Iva Enhancement: Improve Iva’s core deal screening and analysis models to increase accuracy and uncover deeper insights.
- New Tool Creation: Build new modules and capabilities from the ground up, such as tools for automated due diligence, portfolio monitoring, market trend prediction, and an internal knowledge base of best practices.
- Predictive Benchmarking: Create systems that benchmark new companies against our historical performance dataset to identify outliers and predict success.
- AI Research & Innovation: Stay at the absolute forefront of AI advancements by experimenting with new models and techniques to keep our toolkit best‑in‑class.
- Team & Portfolio Training: Train the Impression Ventures team and our portfolio companies on how to best leverage Iva and other proprietary AI tools.
Who You Are
- A Natural Builder: You have a portfolio of projects that demonstrates your ability to build functional applications using AI.
- Technically Proficient: You possess strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and have hands‑on experience with modern AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI API, Lang Chain, Llama Index, vector databases, Hugging Face).
