About the opportunity:

The Transportation Analyst is responsible for analyzing transportation configurations and processes with the goal of optimizing services and generating cost reductions. The role also provides project management, reporting and process improvement support to the Transportation Supplier Relations Team.

The attributes we are looking for:

  • Maximize cost efficiency in the transportation network by gathering data from various systems for analysis and presenting results, solutions, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Participate with Transportation management in the implementation of process re-engineering and improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the Transportation Request for Proposal process by obtaining rates and providing business analysis and recommendation.
  • Act as project manager for issues related to the transportation management system by ensuring smooth operation of tools and systems (TMS) implemented for department and assist in trouble shooting issues if necessary.
  • Provide support to the Manager, Transportation Supplier as required by generating reports analysis and assisting with resolving day to day queries. This would include but is not limited to:

a. Transportation Market Studies

b. Rate analysis

c. Key Performance (KPI) reporting

d. On time delivery and penalty reporting

e. Carrier Scorecard and financial reporting

What you will bring:

  • Knowledge of transportation, warehousing and distribution
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience of data querying and working with large databases
  • Knowledge of SAP and Business Warehouse in CPG industry
  • Strong understanding of Transportation and Warehouse Management software
  • Ability to communicate and develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient with standard office computer technology including Microsoft Office products with a good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Strong tactical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset

Compensation:

As part of our commitment to fairness, trust, and transparency and our ambition to be an Employer of Choice, the base salary range for this position is $70,100 – $87,600+.

Please note: Along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, your actual base salary will be fair, competitive, and be based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
