The Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Syndicate Sr Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the equity capital markets, through IPO, Follow-on, Convertible, and Private Placement offerings, in coordination with the Investment Banking team. In addition, to capital raising exposure, responsibility will also include advising and structuring non-capital raising strategic assignments, such as spin-offs and split-offs. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by facilitating capital formation in the equity market for clients.

Responsibilities:

Work with senior Equity Capital Markets (ECM) officers and professionals and participate in particular client transactions projects or assignments as the junior member of the Investment Banking team

Work directly with internal partners (Corporate & Investment banking, Risk, Legal, Operations) as well as external partners (Clients, Investors, External Counsel) in the coordination and execution of a deal from launch to close

Desire and ability to thrive in fast paced, trading floor environment with short deadlines and real-time market interaction

Work closely with institutional investors & equity sales regarding company valuation, deal structure and terms, and other relevant topics

Collaborate with investment banking teams, equity traders, and equity sales personnel in targeting key investors, obtaining investor feedback, identifying appropriate valuation, and creating allocation strategies

Build and maintain relationships with key institutional investors through regular in-person meetings and calls

Produce market commentary for distribution to global corporate clients

Prepare materials for pitches and live deals

Conduct economic/financial research

Evaluate company’s financial performance compared to overall industry and market trends

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

1-3 years of relevant experience

Series 7, 79 and 63 licenses

Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines

Education:

Bachelor’s degree/University degree
