Our client is an established commodity trading house in Zug region.

We are looking for a Trade Finance Professional to join our client’s  Trade Finance team, reporting directly to the Head of Trade Finance. In this role, you will contribute to the day-to-day execution of the company's trade finance activities, ensuring the efficient handling of letters of credit, guarantees, standby letters of credit (SBLCs) and payment processes.

Working closely with colleagues across Trade Finance, Operations, Trading and our banking partners, you will help ensure the smooth execution of international trade transactions while supporting effective risk management and operational excellence. This position offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your expertise within a collaborative and international trading environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end processing of letters of credit (L/Cs), guarantees and standby letters of credit (SBLCs), including issuance, review, amendments, document checking and presentation.
  • Process daily payments, verify transactions and monitor incoming funds.
  • Liaise with banks, offshore offices and internal operations teams to ensure efficient transaction execution.
  • Support operational colleagues by providing guidance on trade finance matters and assisting in resolving transactional issues.
  • Monitor trade finance transactions on both the purchase and sales side, identifying potential risks and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Monitor stock positions and coordinate warehouse surveys as part of the trade finance control process.

Your Profile

  • Around 3–5 years of experience in trade finance, with solid exposure to letters of credit and documentary trade products.
  • Previous experience within a Trade Finance bank or a commodity trading company; banking back-office experience is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with a structured, accurate and solution-oriented working style.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive mindset, strong sense of ownership and the ability to build positive working relationships across functions.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
