Tax Senior Associate
We are looking for a Tax Senior Associate to join our Private Clients Services group in Northern California. The role focuses on providing tax compliance and advisory services for high-net-worth individuals and flow-through entities while also supporting our clients’ business and technical accounting needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S‑corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations ranging from middle-market to multinational companies.
- Participate in tax research projects, draft IRS responses and address other tax‑authority inquiries.
- Collaborate with leaders on special projects in various areas of tax.
- Develop recommendations for clients and discuss strategies with senior leadership.
- Cooperate with specialty tax practices on complex matters such as state & local, high-net-worth, international, research & development, and available credits and incentives.
- Receive on‑the‑job coaching and mentoring while participating in firm‑wide learning and development programs.
- Build and nurture client and internal relationships through networking.
- Support the growth and development of team members via the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, law, or a related business field with sufficient coursework for the CPA and/or Bar exam.
- CPA, EA, or JD license preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services in a public accounting firm.
- Strong skills in time management, communication, interpersonal relations, collaboration, problem solving, leadership, project management, organization, and analysis.
- Adaptability and initiative.
- Excellent Microsoft Suite skills.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship preferred.
Benefits & Compensation
Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees:
- In San Jose, CA, and San Francisco, CA: $98,000 to $128,690
- In Rancho Cordova/Sacramento, CA: $91,000 to $145,350
