Our client is seeking a qualified Tax Manager to join their organization. This is a Direct Hire role.
Responsibilities:
Support tax partners by identifying tax planning opportunities and strategies for the firm’s diverse client base.
Prepare step planning memorandums and technical reports for clients and partners.
Mentor and assist team members regarding tax matters.
Review personal and corporate tax returns and tax projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a university.
CPA, In-depth Tax Course, or Master of Taxation degree is an asset.
At least four years of experience, including two years specializing in tax (tax and accounting skills required).
Extensive knowledge of personal, corporate, partnership, and trust tax legislation and compliance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Caseware and Tax Prep.
Experience in corporate reorganizations, estate planning, and tax elections (Section 85, CDA, etc.) is desirable.
