London (Hybrid Working) Salary: £65,000 – £85,000 Bonus Comprehensive Benefits About the Role A leading Big 4 Accountancy Firm is seeking an experienced Tax Investigations Manager to join its highly regarded Tax Disputes & Investigations team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex and high-profile HMRC enquiries, disclosures and tax disputes, advising a broad range of clients including multinational groups, owner-managed businesses, private clients and high-net-worth individuals.
Working alongside industry-leading specialists, you will manage a diverse portfolio of cases while helping clients navigate an increasingly complex tax compliance and investigation landscape. Tax Investigations Manager
Key Responsibilities Managing HMRC enquiries, investigations and compliance checks. Advising clients on disclosures, tax disputes and settlement strategies. Leading communications and negotiations with HMRC. Supporting clients through COP8 and COP9 investigations. Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser. Reviewing technical tax issues and providing practical, commercial solutions. Supporting Partners and Directors on complex assignments and business development initiatives. Mentoring and developing junior members of the team.
Requirements CTA, ACA, ACCA, ATT or equivalent professional qualification. Proven experience in Tax Investigations, Tax Disputes, Tax Controversy or HMRC Enquiries. Strong understanding of UK tax legislation and HMRC processes. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. Previous experience within a professional services environment, ideally Big 4, Top 10 or a specialist tax advisory firm. What’s on Offer £65,000 – £85,000 base salary.
