Position: Tax Accountant
Tax Accountant
$75,000 – $90,000 base salary
We’re partnering with a fast-growing firm that is expanding its in-house tax function and looking to add a Tax Accountant to the team. This newly created role is well-suited for a versatile tax professional who enjoys variety in their work, exposure to different entity types, and involvement in both compliance and advisory-focused projects—without the demands of traditional public accounting hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and corporations
- Assist with tax provisions and compliance reporting at federal and state levels
- Conduct tax research and support the development of tax strategies and planning initiatives
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and help implement required updates
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Support IRS audits, special projects, and broader tax planning efforts
- Participate in ongoing training and stay current on tax developments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred)
- 2+ years of tax experience, including preparation of federal and state returns
- Solid understanding of tax compliance processes and tax software systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general Office Suite skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively
