Our client, a global FMCG business, is currently looking for an experienced finance professional to join the Global Expansion Unit (GEU) finance team, based in Amsterdam. In this role you will support Commercial Finance, FP&A and Supply Services across a portfolio of distributor markets, connecting distributor market management, commercial performance, planning and forecasting, management reporting, supply services finance and financial control into one joined-up view of market performance.
Reporting to the GEU Head of Finance, your responsibilities will span FP&A and performance management, sales finance and supply finance. You will drive the Region/Cluster/Country P&L and net working capital reporting process, lead target setting, planning and forecasting across the region, and take end-to-end accountability for commercial fixed costs. On the sales finance side, you will business partner commercial teams, own all dimensions of the P&L, approve and evaluate sales promotions while holding KAMs to account on evidence and documentation, and run regular trade spend accrual reviews, preparing board pack presentations and other management reporting to communicate financial performance to senior stakeholders, alongside driving margin-enhancing projects through to delivery.
On supply finance, you will monitor and track supply cost against financial targets, support the forecasting and planning process for supply cost across the region, and identify cost and efficiency opportunities within Supply Services. Throughout, you will work closely with Commercial, FP&A, Supply Services, Accounting and regional management teams to understand performance drivers and ensure commercial and supply considerations are reflected in cross-functional recommendations.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field, with a professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) in progress or complete considered an advantage. You will bring 3 to 5 years of finance experience, with a strong commercial finance mindset and the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders across Commercial, FP&A, Supply, Accounting and regional teams. Advanced Excel skills, strong analytical ability, and experience working within a complex, global matrix organisation.
Offering a base salary of €75,000 to €82,000 inclusive of holiday, plus bonus.
