One of New York's fastest-growing venture-backed AI SaaS companies is looking to hire its first Strategic Finance Lead to partner directly with the CEO and executive team as the business enters its next phase of growth.
Having recently closed a successful Series A funding round, the company is scaling rapidly and is looking for someone who can build a best-in-class strategic finance function from the ground up. This is a highly commercial role, combining financial planning, strategic decision-making, investor support, and cross-functional business partnering.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
- Own FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial modelling across revenue, ARR, headcount, cash flow, and runway.
- Deliver commercial insights to support pricing, go-to-market strategy, hiring, and resource allocation.
- Lead investor reporting, board materials, fundraising support, and due diligence.
- Build KPI dashboards and performance reporting across key business functions.
- Evaluate growth opportunities, strategic initiatives, and improve financial processes and reporting as the business scales.
Profile
- 4–8 years' experience across Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Growth Equity, Transaction Services, or Management Consulting.
- Strong academic background with experience in high-growth SaaS or technology businesses preferred.
- Excellent financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, NRR, gross margin, burn multiple).
- Confident presenting financial insights to executives, investors, and board members, translating analysis into commercial and strategic recommendations.
- Proactive, commercially minded, and able to work independently in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience using BI tools and modern FP&A platforms being an advantage.
