Solugenix is assisting a client, a prestigious and large investment management company, in their search for a Strategic Finance Lead. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based out of Los Angeles, CA or Irvine, CA (Hybrid).
The Strategic Project Lead will partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic decision-making across business units. This role blends financial analysis and strategic thinking to evaluate business performance, inform long-term planning, and develop data-driven recommendations that support operational and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical foundation, experience from investment banking or management consulting, and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, compelling insights for executive audiences.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate strategy, or a related, analytical role.
- Strong foundational knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
- Demonstrates strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with an ability to synthesize funding for an executive audience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, but also the ability to lead projects and operate independently when needed.
- Strong project and time management skills, especially the ability to handle competing priorities effectively.
Nice-to-Have skills and experience:
- Prior experience with a large investment management, asset management, or financial services firm.
- Experience building dashboards, financial reports, or data visualizations with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Basic to intermediate coding or data manipulation skills (e.g., SQL, Python, advanced Excel).
- Exposure to cost management, operational finance, or enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $102/hour to $102/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
