We’re partnering with a fast growing public company in the cleantech/infrastructure space looking for a Staff Accountant who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, own key parts of the month end close, and grow into a broader role within a dynamic, public‑company finance team. ⚡ What You’ll Do
- Own core GL activities — prepare and post monthly journal entries (accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany)
- Reconcile key accounts across the balance sheet and P&L with clear, audit‑ready support
- Drive month‑end and quarter‑end close under tight timelines in a public‑company environment
- Support financial statement prep and external audit requests
- Grow into equity accounting — stock‑based comp entries, tracking, and cross‑functional coordination
- Maintain accurate records aligned with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
- Spot opportunities to improve processes and help build a more efficient close cycle
This is a hands‑on role where your attention to detail and ownership mindset will make a real impact.
🎯 What You Bring
- 3–5 years of GL accounting experience, ideally corporate + Big 10 audit background
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Solid month‑end close and reconciliation experience
- Strong Excel skills (pivots, lookups, reconciliation techniques)
- ERP experience (NetSuite preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA/CA track is a plus
- High attention to detail, ownership, and accountability
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across the finance team
- Comfortable operating in a SOX‑controlled, public‑company environment
- Curious, proactive, and excited to take on more responsibility over time
