About the Company and Staff Accountant Opportunity:
- CFS is working with a well-established multi entity organization to find a Staff Accountant to join their team. This role will support the small accounting team with day-to-day tasks and help keep financial records accurate and up to date.
- This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and with a team.
- Reports to the CFO
Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
- Help with daily accounting tasks like entering journal entries, recording payroll, and keeping financial records organized
- Complete monthly account reconciliations (making sure numbers match bank and company records)
- Review company credit card transactions and fix any errors or missing information
- Assist with preparing basic financial reports for leadership
- Work with other departments to make sure financial information is correct and submitted on time
- Support the budgeting process and help track spending
- Help get documents ready for audits and keep records in good order
- Assist with tax filings and other required reports
- Provide support to accounts payable and receivable when needed
Ideal Candidate Profile for the Staff Accountant Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field a plus
- 2+ years of accounting experience (nonprofit, property management, or hospitality is a plus)
- Friendly, professional, and able to work with different teams
- Intermediate Excel skills (comfortable with spreadsheets and basic formulas)
Schedule:
100% on site M-F
Salary: $65,000-$75,000
