Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our clients growing accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys hands-on work, has strong general ledger experience, and is looking for an opportunity to grow within a dynamic, multi-entity environment.
The Staff Accountant will support daily accounting operations, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. This position provides exposure to multiple entities and offers an opportunity to expand accounting knowledge while working closely with experienced finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting activities, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Prepare and post journal entries while supporting month-end close activities.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform cash reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed.
- Assist with month-end close processes, including account analysis and financial reporting support.
- Support intercompany transactions and account reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Assist with consolidation activities and financial statement preparation.
- Perform flux analysis and identify trends or variances requiring review.
- Support accounting process improvements and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting questions and maintain accurate financial data.
- Work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 4–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close processes.
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
