Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant
- Perform full‑cycle accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and month‑end close activities as the Staff Accountant
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy across multiple accounts and entities as the Staff Accountant
- Support job costing and project accounting, including reconciliations and cost tracking, as the Staff Accountant
- Assist with inventory tracking, cycle counts, and support occasional plant visits as the Staff Accountant
- Partner with operations and internal teams to improve processes, resolve discrepancies, and support reporting and audits as the Staff Accountant
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience with strong GAAP and month‑end close exposure
- Experience with or interest in construction, manufacturing, inventory accounting, or job costing
Work Environment for the Staff Accountant
- On-site role with occasional plant visits
