As a Senior Executive – Accounts Payable, you will be a key member of the finance team, reporting to the Manager – Finance. Your role will involve managing accounts payable, fixed asset accounting, compliance, audits, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable & Financial Management
- Verify bills against agreements, POs, and approvals before processing transactions.
- Maintain fixed asset accounting, including register updates and depreciation calculations.
- Oversee accounts receivable, including student accounting, fee collection, and record management.
- Manage fund accounting for research grants and other funds.
Compliance & Audits
- Prepare, file, and reconcile TDS returns.
- Assist in internal and external audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal controls, and prescribed policies.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare schedules for statutory and internal audits.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Develop MIS reports in the required format.
- Coordinate with internal teams on finance-related matters.
- Handle additional assignments as per the reporting manager's requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- CA Inter / M.Com with 4-6 years of experience in accounts payable and financial management.
- Strong understanding of TDS, GST, accounting procedures, and financial practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF).
- Experience working in an ERP environment (preferably MS Navision or SAP) with month-end closures.
- Strong communication and email skills; spoken Tamil is an added advantage.
