RETS Associates has been retained to lead a search for an SVP, Accounting/Finance (path to CFO) for a 35+ year privately held CRE investment/operating firm in Los Angeles with ~$500MM AUM.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversees the Accounting function and 3 direct reports
- Makes key decisions related to IT, HR
- Serves on the Executive Committee assisting with firm strategy
- Along with team assembles and produces financial reports/statements, annual operating and capital budgets and financial plans
- Obtains new and/or restructures existing bank loans and line(s) of credit
- Prepares or reviews, where appropriate, tax returns for the Company and works with the firm’s outside accounting firm
- Cash Management and strategic oversight
- Variance Analysis for property and firm
Qualifications And Credentials:
- BS degree in Accounting and/or Business.
- MBA or Master’s Degree in related field is desirable.
- CPA credential is preferred but not required.
- Must have at least 7-10 years of financial management experience, including 2 in Real Estate
- Intimate knowledge of Yardi required
Compensation: Base salary in the 200s plus bonus, commensurate with experience.
