Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis supports enterprise‑wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis. The role partners closely with business leaders and data teams to deliver clear, actionable insights that inform strategic and operational decision‑making across the organization. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis, this position requires strong financial acumen, deep understanding of mortgage industry drivers, advanced SQL capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex analyses in an executive‑ready manner.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Manage budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning at both the organization and business unit levels
  • Analyze full P&L performance with a strong understanding of mortgage industry drivers
  • Conduct variance analysis and challenge assumptions to improve forecast accuracy
  • Leverage SQL to extract, validate, and analyze large datasets; collaborate with data teams to enhance reporting and data integrity
  • Translate complex financial analyses into clear, concise insights and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline FP&A processes and management reporting
  • Support quarterly earnings preparation by developing comprehensive management materials, anticipating key questions, and ensuring alignment between internal forecasts and reported results
  • Partner with business leaders to deliver proactive, data-driven financial insights and guidance

Key Result Areas:

  • Enhance forecast accuracy and P&L visibility through robust analysis, modeling, and thoughtful assumption review
  • Provide high-quality financial insights and guidance to support leadership decision-making and improve business performance
  • Improve data integrity and reporting efficiency through analysis and close collaboration with partner teams
  • Lead ongoing improvements across FP&A processes, tools, and reporting automation
  • Support leadership readiness for earnings by delivering clear, consistent insights aligned with internal and external reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred but not required).
  • 10+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience.
  • Previous finance business partnership experience required
  • Financial Services/Mortgage industry experience required
  • Advanced SQL skills; experience working with complex data environments.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and familiarity with enterprise reporting or BI tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive‑level presentations.
  • Experience with C-suite influencing and owning day-to-day interactions regarding advisory and guidance on P&L
  • Proven ability to influence and partner effectively across functions without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
