Hays are proud to partner with the Tasmanian Public Finance Corporation (TASCORP) with the recruitment of a highly capable Senior Manager, Client Relationships. TASCORP is the Central Financing Authority for the State of Tasmania and was established to develop, implement and manage borrowing and investment programs that benefit the Tasmanian community. Borrowing funds in domestic and global markets, TASCORP provides a range of financial services to the State and Government owned entities, including local governments.
Your new role
Due to a recent retirement within the team, this has resulted in a rare opportunity for a Senior Manager, Client Relationships to join their team on a permanent full time basis, in the Hobart CBD. Reporting through to the CEO, and a key part of the Senior Management Team, this role is responsible for the strategic development and management of TASCORPS client relationships and lending portfolio. Some of your key responsibilities will include;
- Lead strategic relationships with large and complex clients, originating lending and deposit opportunities across the balance sheet
- Provide expert advice on business borrowing strategies, funding structures, cash management and liquidity solutions
- Structure and negotiate complex lending facilities, including bilateral and multi party arrangements
- Partner with credit risk and legal teams to progress transactions through approval, documentation and settlement with strong governance
- Represent TASCORP with senior client executives, government stakeholders and shareholder entities, delivering commercially sound outcomes
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you'll be a self-motivated banking professional with a proven record of managing complex lending arrangements. You'll possess excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal), enjoy working independently and be highly analytical with outstanding attention to detail. Gained by relevant practical Commercial Banking experience, you'll also possess;
- Extensive experience leading large and complex client portfolios within business or institutional banking environments
- Proven expertise originating, structuring and executing high value, sophisticated lending transactions across diverse industries
- Deep credit capability with the judgement to assess complex risk profiles and progress transactions through rigorous approval frameworks
- Strong command of funding structures, balance sheet solutions, deposit products and liquidity management at scale
- Executive level presence with the credibility to engage boards, senior executives and government stakeholders on material financial decisions
As the successful candidate, you'll also be prepared to undergo a national police check prior to commencement in the position.
