About the Role
Our client, a confidential private family office, is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to strengthen investment research, portfolio monitoring, and governance. Reporting into the Investments lead (Head of Investments), this role will support strategy development and provide decision-quality analysis to the investment committee.
This is a hands-on analytical position with increasing exposure to investment decisions, manager oversight, and ongoing portfolio review.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Research
- Lead or co-lead research initiatives across public and private markets (depending on the family office’s strategy).
- Produce investment memos, asset class views, and theses with clear risks, assumptions, and decision implications.
Portfolio Analytics & Monitoring
- Track portfolio performance, performance attribution, allocation analysis, and liquidity/cashflow considerations.
- Support risk monitoring, including scenario analysis and downside-focused review where appropriate.
Due Diligence & Manager Evaluation
- Perform due diligence on external managers and funds (where applicable): track records, strategy fit, fees, terms, and alignment.
- Summarize findings and develop recommendations for the investment committee.
Investment Committee Support
- Prepare committee materials, meeting decks, and documentation aligned with the office’s policies and reporting standards.
- Maintain organized research libraries and decision records.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years in investment research, investment management, wealth/asset management, family office experience a plus
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
