Position: Senior Internal Auditor at Metrolinx
Drive internal audit excellence with Metrolinx as a Senior Internal Auditor. This role in downtown Toronto focuses on IT and PRESTO activities in a collaborative office setting.
At Metrolinx, you’ll play a critical role in executing internal audits under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Internal Audit – Operations. Your work will involve conducting comprehensive risk assessments, developing audit programs, and coaching junior auditors. This in-office position promotes teamwork and relationship-building across various departments to enhance operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead financial, operational, and compliance audits
• Develop risk assessment plans and detailed audit objectives
• Coach and supervise junior audit team members
• Liaise with external auditors for effective collaboration
• Maintain knowledge of IIA standards and best practices
Requirements:
• Degree in Business, Accounting, IT, or equivalent
• Progressive experience in internal audits required
• Relevant IIA designations preferred
• Strong relationship-building skills essential
• Knowledge of capital-intensive industries advantageous
