About Our Client:
Canadian based REIT company that is globally recognized, is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst
– Reporting to join their team. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Accounting and Financial Reporting, the Senior Financial Analyst
– Reporting tasks will follow:
Responsibilities
The Senior Financial Analyst – Reporting is responsible for
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including financial statements and operating costs
- Journal entries / accruals; ensuring accurate revenue recognition
- Bank reconciliations
- Support with note disclosures and MD&A
- Preparing variance, trend and other required ad-hoc analysis
- Supporting the external audit process and providing guidance to overall accounting and finance team
Qualifications
- Post secondary education in accounting, finance or business
- 3+ years of progressive financial reporting experience
- 2 + years Big 4 experience
- IFRS knowledge
- Experience working within the real estate space
- Intermediate Excel skills and a strong aptitude for systems
- CPA designated or really close
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational abilities
- Positive attitude towards being in office
