Leading manufacturing company is looking for a experienced, trail blazer mentality FP&A specialist. This role involves understanding manufacturing accounting and can hit the ground running in a HIGH performance and RAPIDLY growing operating division.
About the Role
This hands on position requires working with multiple divisions to outperform, create and build.
Responsibilities
- Understand manufacturing accounting (standard costing, absorption, inventory and variance impacts)
- Partner with plant leadership and operations to drive financial performance and accountability
- Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead, yield/scrap) and provide actionable root-cause insights
- Build, maintain, and improve financial models for volume, mix, pricing, and cost drivers
- Develop annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range plans; track performance vs. plan and explain key drivers
- Support product costing activities: BOM/routings validation, cost rolls, margin analysis, and new product introductions
- Drive working-capital improvement initiatives.
- Perform ad hoc profitability analysis.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements; quantify benefits and track realization
- Work with accounting and IT to automate recurring finance and reporting processes (SQL/Power BI/Excel) and improve data integrity
- Support capital expenditure analysis (business cases, ROI/NPV, post-implementation reviews)
- Assist with internal controls, audit support, and SOP documentation for finance processes
- Outperform, create, and build in a high-performance, rapidly growing operating environment
Qualifications
- 5-8 years Background in accounting and Finance
- Finance/FP&A background –
- SQL,Power BI,and automation/reporting build out experience
- Strong Excel
- Very Independent thinker required!
