A global, well‑established organization is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to serve as a strategic

business partner to senior leaders and cross‑functional teams. This role focuses on delivering data‑driven insights, supporting planning and forecasting, and driving informed decision‑making across the business.

The position operates in a hybrid environment and is ideal for experienced finance professionals who enjoy working closely with stakeholders, leading analysis, and building scalable reporting and planning processes.

Position Summary

The Lead Financial Analyst partners with business leaders to provide financial and operational insights that support strategic objectives. This role leads core financial analysis, planning, and reporting activities while contributing to process improvements and advanced analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business unit leaders to support decision‑making through financial analysis and insights
  • Lead monthly close reporting and financial review processes
  • Develop, track, and report on KPIs and performance metrics
  • Prepare and review monthly P&L reporting and variance analysis
  • Support annual operating plans, projections, and long‑term planning
  • Analyze expenses and provide consolidated explanations to leadership
  • Standardize reporting processes, templates, and analytics
  • Support ad‑hoc reporting and dashboard enhancements using Excel and analytics tools
  • Drive process improvements through automation and advanced analytics
  • Partner with accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely month‑end close
  • Support cross‑functional and global initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; CPA, MBA, or Master’s in Finance a plus
  • 6+ years of progressive finance or financial analysis experience preferred
  • Strong experience supporting planning, forecasting, and management reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • ERP experience required; SAP experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI or Power Query a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present insights to leadership
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: Up to $120,000
  • Bonus: Eligible (approximately 15%)

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
  • Location: Chicago area
