Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Company: LHH

Location: Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area

Senior Financial Analyst

High‑Growth Manufacturing & Distribution Company

Hybrid / Onsite with Flex, Austin TX

Base Salary: $100,000–$110,000 + Bonus

About the Company:

This opportunity is with a well‑established, growing manufacturing and distribution organization operating at meaningful scale. The company produces and distributes a broad range of essential products and continues to invest heavily in its operations, systems, and people.

The culture is practical, collaborative, and execution‑focused. Finance is viewed as a true business partner, not just a reporting function. Leaders value analysts who understand how the business actually runs — from manufacturing through distribution — and who can translate real‑world operations into actionable financial insight.

The company is in an active phase of process and systems evolution, creating an excellent environment for professionals who enjoy building, improving, and influencing as the business grows.

The Role:

The Senior Financial Analyst will support a core manufacturing and distribution business unit, owning management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and detailed financial analysis. This role is designed for someone who enjoys being deeply connected to operations, working closely with leadership, supply chain, and accounting.

This is not a purely strategic or dashboard‑only role. Success here requires strong fundamentals, comfort working through imperfect data, and the ability to operate effectively in a manufacturing‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and longer‑term planning for an operating business unit
  • Perform regular variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. forecast) and clearly explain business drivers
  • Build financial models supporting ROI analysis, pricing, margin improvement, and profitability by product or customer
  • Create ad‑hoc and “what‑if” analyses to support operational and leadership decisions

Manufacturing & Operational Finance

  • Analyze cost of sales, including materials, freight, labor, and operational expenses
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain to understand cost drivers and performance trends
  • Support decision‑making tied to efficiency, throughput, and operational improvement initiatives

Systems, Data & Reporting

  • Work across multiple systems, with NetSuite as a critical system for success
  • Reconcile and normalize data across different sources to ensure accurate reporting
  • Design, improve, and automate financial and operational reporting — most analysis lives in Excel
  • Help strengthen reporting processes and controls in an evolving systems environment

Business Partnership & Visibility

  • Serve as a financial partner to operational leaders and senior management
  • Present financial insights in Monthly Business Reviews, forecasts, and planning sessions
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with non‑finance stakeholders

What They’re Looking For

This role is best suited for candidates who enjoy manufacturing and operational finance and who are comfortable working in environments that are still being refined.

Must‑Haves

  • Manufacturing or distribution finance experience (critical for success)
  • Strong NetSuite experience, ideally in an operating or multi‑system environment
  • Proven background in hands‑on financial analysis with large, complex data sets
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, reconciliations)
  • Ability to work through imperfect data and evolving processes
  • Strong communication and business‑partnering skills

Highly Preferred

  • Cost accounting exposure tied to manufacturing or plant operations
  • Experience working across multiple ERP systems (NetSuite plus others)
  • History of improving, fixing, or building analytical and reporting processes
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and change

Work Environment

  • Onsite‑forward with some flexibility
  • High visibility and regular interaction with leadership
  • Fast‑moving, practical, and execution‑oriented culture
  • Finance function closely embedded with operations

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $100,000–$110,000
  • Bonus Eligible
