We're working with a well-regarded ASX listed financial services firm to find a Senior Accountant for their Group Finance team in Sydney.
This is a group reporting and financial control role, sitting within corporate finance and reporting into the Senior Manager, Group Finance. It's a broad and varied position, you'll be across external reporting, technical accounting, month-end close, and audit coordination.
What the role involves
- :Supporting the preparation of half-year and full-year ASX reporting requirement
- sAssisting with the preparation of Audit and Risk Committee and Board reporting papers
- .Preparing disclosures for external financial reporting in line with the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules, and Australian Accounting Standards
- .Supporting external audit coordination and ensuring compliance with Group accounting controls, policies, and procedures
- .Executing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including Group consolidations, elimination entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
- .Preparing technical accounting position papers and memos on complex transactions and significant accounting matters under AASB and IFRS
- .Identifying and driving opportunities for process improvement and automation across the finance function
- .Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and with external auditors
