Eden Rose is currently engaged with a financial institution within Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) who are seeking a Senior Finance Officer who will be responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
You will manage day-to-day financial operations, including monitoring cash flow, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely collections and payments.
- Handle inventory accounting, cost analysis, and reconciliations related to trading operations.
- Prepare VAT/tax filings and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support annual audits by coordinating with external auditors and providing required documentation.
- Ensure internal controls are implemented and adhered to financial transactions.
- Provide financial insights and reports to management to support decision-making.
- Prepare and review financial statements and relevant reports for the Fund Manager in compliance with the accounting standards and regulatory requirements of DFSA.
- Ensure all financial and Regulatory reporting to DFSA, DIFC, FTA or any other regulatory bodies is completed on a timely basis including VAT and Corporation Tax.
The Senior Financial Officer will hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field and Professional certification: ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent (mandatory). You will have a minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a trading or commercial environment, ideally within the Middle East region, strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and local accounting regulations and proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar). You will have Excellent MS Excel and financial analysis skills, strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
