Multinational Manufacturer is Currently Looking for a Finance Lead (based in Shah Alam)

This company is a manufacturing-based organisation in Malaysia that produces heavy-duty commercial vehicles and related components, supporting the transport, logistics, and industrial sectors.
Your new role
As the Finance Lead, you will be in charge of the following but not limited to:
- Oversee end‑to‑end accounting operations, including AP, AR, fixed assets, general ledger, and statutory and management reporting.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and financial reporting in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS.
- Analyse financial performance (P&L and balance sheet) and present insights, trends, and variances to senior management.
- Lead annual internal control reviews, audits (internal and external), transfer pricing exercises, and corporate tax submissions.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, monitor actual performance, and perform variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements, including SST and central bank reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and controls.
- Liaise with group and regional stakeholders, tax specialists, legal teams, and functional leaders.
- Lead, coach, and develop the finance and accounting team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will need to possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, with a recognised professional qualification (MIA, ACCA, CPA, MACPA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in senior finance roles, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with accounting and financial systems, particularly SAP, with exposure to automation, digitalisation, and standardisation initiatives is considered an advantage.
- Solid expertise in local GAAP and international accounting standards, supported by sound knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership, people management, and organisational capabilities, with the ability to work independently.
- Analytical, business-oriented mindset with the ability to partner across functions to deliver effective financial solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and full professional proficiency in English.
