This individual will be responsible for strengthening financial operations, handling month-end close, financial reporting to both lenders and the Company’s board, leading the Company through annual audits, oversight of all accounting processes and financial infrastructure, and generally supporting company leadership across ad-hoc initiatives. The role requires fluency in healthcare revenue cycle dynamics, including billing and collections workflows, reimbursement timing, and the related accrual accounting and revenue recognition considerations.

This person must be comfortable working in a private equity-backed, high-growth environment and presenting financial information to senior leadership, board members, investors, lenders, and other stakeholders. The right candidate will also be willing to operate in a lean finance environment, roll up their sleeves, and do the work while building the infrastructure, processes, and reporting capabilities needed to support scale.

Key Responsibilities

·      Develop and manage accrual-based revenue recognition processes, with a strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle dynamics, including billing, collections, reimbursement timing, denial management, payer performance, and collection waterfall mechanics.

·      Partner with operations and billing teams to analyze financial and operational performance drivers including patient volumes, payer mix, billing activity, collections, denials, reimbursement trends, and collections performance.

·      Build and refine the financial infrastructure, reporting structure, controls, systems, and processes needed to support continued growth.

·      Lead risk management and corporate insurance activities, including maintaining appropriate coverage, coordinating renewals, and supporting related compliance, controls, and mitigation planning.

·      Oversee employee benefits and 401(k) administration from a finance perspective, partnering with HR, brokers, payroll providers, and external advisors as needed.

·      Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes aligned with operational goals and growth strategy.

·      Operate as both a strategic finance partner and a hands-on contributor within a small, lean team environment.

Key Qualifications

·      Deep understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations, including the billing, reimbursement processes, denials management, and building collections waterfalls.

·      Experience in a private equity-backed or investor-owned environment strongly preferred.

·      Experience preparing and presenting financial materials to senior leadership, boards, investors, lenders, or other professional stakeholders.

·      Demonstrated ability to build or improve financial infrastructure, including reporting processes, controls, systems, workflows, and data structure.

·      Comfortable working with small teams and willing to be hands-on in the day-to-day finance and accounting work.
