Our client is a global group operating at the intersection of travel, loyalty, lifestyle benefits, insurance, and customer engagement. We are now looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner, APAC to join their regional finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with senior business leaders, turning financial data into meaningful insight, and supporting strategic decisions across a fast-moving regional business.
About the Role
As the Senior Finance Business Partner, APAC, you will act as a trusted finance partner to the regional leadership team, providing commercial insight, constructive challenge, and practical financial guidance to support business growth, governance, and operational decision-making.
This is not a traditional accounting-only role. The successful candidate will be expected to understand business drivers, challenge assumptions, support regional initiatives, and help senior stakeholders make better commercial decisions through sound financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Partner with APAC senior leadership to provide financial insight, commercial analysis, and decision support
- Support regional strategy development and execution through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and business case review
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly performance reporting, including variance analysis, trend analysis, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions
- Support budgeting and reforecasting processes in partnership with FP&A, controllership, shared services, and local market teams
- Lead and support cross-functional projects across APAC, including business transformation, market entry, joint venture setup, operational improvement, and strategic initiatives
- Provide finance support for M&A, investment, and expansion activities, including business case development, due diligence, deal support, and post-deal implementation
- Monitor business performance drivers and identify opportunities to improve profitability, cost control, capital discipline, and working capital management
- Strengthen financial governance, approval processes, policy compliance, and commercial risk management across markets and projects
- Champion improvements in reporting, analysis, dashboards, and decision-support tools to drive clearer insight and better management action
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- Professional accounting qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance business partnering, commercial finance, FP&A, strategic finance, or related finance leadership roles
- Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders and providing insight, challenge, and practical recommendations
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance growth objectives with governance, control, and risk management
- Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, variance analysis, and business case development
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Experience supporting business transformation, market entry, joint ventures, M&A, investment, or strategic projects would be highly preferred
- BI, dashboarding, or data analytics experience would be an advantage
- Hospitality, retail, travel, loyalty, consumer services, insurance, or related industry experience would be a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a regional environment
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Open to occasional travel
