About the Role

The Senior Finance Analyst will provide financial analysis and business partnership to the global IT function. This role is responsible for end‑to‑end financial management of IT projects and the related operating expense and capital investments. The role will partner closely with IT leadership, Project Managers, Procurement, and Corporate Finance to ensure robust financial control and transparent reporting across all IT projects. This position plays a key role in strengthening governance, managing project capitalization (Capex vs Opex) and ensuring forecasting accuracy for IT project. 18 – 24 month FTC.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial analysis of actuals vs budget, forecast, and prior year
  • Support annual planning, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Partner with IT project teams to monitor project spend, forecasting, and financial performance
  • Ensure accurate accounting treatment of IT-related costs in line with US GAAP / IFRS, including software capitalisation, cloud/SaaS costs, and amortisation
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries and reporting
  • Support financial governance and risk tracking across IT projects
  • Provide financial analytics and reporting to support business decision-making
  • Identify opportunities for process and reporting improvements
  • Develop and maintain reporting templates and standard processes

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in FP&A, Financial Analysis, Accounting, or Business Partnering within a multinational (MNC) environment is essential
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified / part-qualified preferred
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Good understanding of GAAP / IFRS
  • Strong systems experience, including SAP (essential); Hyperion / EPM an advantage
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders
