Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee fund accounting and reporting, including financial statements, investor reports, capital calls/distributions, management fees, and fund-level waterfalls, while partnering with leadership on budget-to-actual analysis and variance insights.
- Manage relationships with fund administrators, external auditors, and legal counsel to ensure compliance with partnership agreements and regulatory requirements, while aligning reporting outputs with internal forecasting and planning needs.
- Lead fund liquidity planning, cash flow forecasting, and scenario analysis; support portfolio valuation processes and deliver forward-looking insights for internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive FP&A processes across the fund and portfolio, including annual budgeting, long-range planning, and performance tracking against strategic objectives.
- Lead investor communications, due diligence requests, and preparation of comprehensive fund and portfolio performance reports, incorporating KPI analysis, trend identification, and forward-looking commentary.
- Build and maintain integrated financial models to support portfolio monitoring, capital deployment pacing, and return projections; enhance reporting tools through automation and data-driven insights.
- Develop dashboards and management reporting packages that provide actionable insights on fund performance, liquidity, and portfolio company metrics.
- Collaborate closely with Controller, CFO, and investment teams on accounting, operational functions, portfolio company reporting, board materials, and strategic planning initiatives.
Key Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant direct Private Equity Accounting experience.
- Experience with financial accounting and with US GAAP.
- Data mining experience – you know how to pull data/produce reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
Preferred Qualification:
- Advanced SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, Workiva, etc.
