Position: Senior Accountant (3/4 Days From Home)
A well-established and growing boutique accountancy practice with offices across London, Hertfordshire and Glasgow is looking to recruit an ambitious Accounts Senior / Semi Senior to join its Glasgow office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded practice accountant looking to join a modern and fast-paced firm with an impressive client portfolio across the Sports, Entertainment and Medical sectors.
The Role
- Prepare year-end and statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 150–200 SME and owner-managed business clients
- Prepare self‑assessment tax returns for directors and individuals
- Liaise directly with clients regarding accounting, tax and compliance matters
- Ensure all compliance deadlines are met accurately and efficiently
- Work across a varied client base within the Sports, Entertainment and Medical industries
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and client advisory projects
Requirements
- ACCA / ACA / ICAS Qualified or Finalist with 1/2 exams left
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience within accountancy practice
- Strong experience preparing accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105
- Experience managing a client portfolio independently
- Strong knowledge of statutory accounts, year‑end accounts and self‑assessment tax returns
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure within a fast‑paced environment
