** Job Summary
** This is a
** 9‐month contract position**. As a key member of the Finance team, the successful candidate will work closely with cross‐functional partners to support financial operations, strengthen processes, and contribute to ongoing business initiatives. The role requires a detail‐oriented, analytical professional who can clearly communicate financial information and build strong working relationships across the organization.
** Key Responsibilities
**** Annual
* ** Prepare year‐end audit documentation and supporting schedules; liaise with external auditors
* Assist with the preparation and coordination of the annual budget
** Monthly
* ** Prepare month‐end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
* Ensure all revenue and costs are accurately recorded in the appropriate accounting period
* Manage inventory accuracy between subledger, general ledger, and cycle counts
* Assist with intercompany transactions, including month‐end reconciliations
** Daily / Ongoing
*** Perform daily cash application (A/R receipts) and bank reconciliations
* Review and issue credit notes as required
* Identify opportunities for Lean process improvements
* Participate in or lead finance‐related projects and cross‐functional initiatives
* Perform other duties as required to support the Finance team
** Education & Experience
*** Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
* Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is considered an asset
* Minimum
** 5+ years of experience
** in financial accounting, preferably under
** U.S. GAAP
*** Strong technical and systems proficiency, including
** Microsoft Excel
** and business intelligence tools
* Experience with
** AS‐400 (BPCS)
** and
** Qlik View / Qlik Sense
** is an asset
** Skills & Competencies
*** Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time‐management skills
* Analytical mindset with a natural curiosity and ability to perform in‐depth analysis
