Senior Accountant

Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements and tax returns in accordance with partnership standards for clients in a variety of businesses and not-for-profit enterprises.
- Leading teams on a variety of assurance engagements.
- Auditing financial statements of business clients.
- Effective communication with our clients, government agencies and with our partners and the team.
- Keeping partners, managers and other team members informed, on an ongoing basis, of progress and significant issues.
- Participate in other leadership activities both internally and externally (e.g., Performance Review Process, recruitment, advocating positive team morale, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge
- CPA designation or in pursuit of designation will be an asset
- Degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in public accounting
- Experience working with accounting and tax software such as Case Ware, Quick Books, Sage/Simply Accounting, Tax Prep, Excel
- Strong financial accounting skills
- Strong interpersonal, relationship building skills and professionalism
- Strong commitment to continuous learning
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task competing priorities
