Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to support financial operations within a fast-paced retail environment. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards while partnering cross-functionally to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Analyze financial data and variances to support business decision-making
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Improve accounting processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with operations, merchandising, and finance teams on financial matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within retail, consumer goods, or multi-location environments
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold
- Exposure to POS systems and multi-entity environments
