Job title: Senior Accountant

Job Duties:
- Manage full accounting function, including general ledger, journals, and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements
- Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Coordinate audits and liaise with auditors, SARS, and external stakeholders
- Review VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions
- Provide financial guidance to management and support strategic decision-making
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
- Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
- Professional qualification (SAIPA / SAICA / CIMA) – advantageous
- 5+ years’ accounting experience in a senior or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of South African tax and accounting legislation
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage, Pastel, Xero)
- Proven experience preparing financial statements and management reports
