Your new company
A well‑established organisation operating within a large‑scale agribusiness and manufacturing environment is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team on a 12‑14 month fixed‑term basis. This role is based on‑site in Toowoomba and plays a key part in supporting a high‑volume production and warehousing operation. Reporting into the Finance Manager, this role offers genuine business partnering exposure across operational teams, alongside core financial accounting and reporting responsibilities.
Your new role
Working closely with all internal teams, as well as interstate and offshore finance stakeholders, your responsibilities will include:
- End‑to‑end financial accounting for the site
- Month‑end close, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting
- Oversight of AP/AR and invoice flows
- Business partnering with operations and production to support performance and cost control
- Preparation of workpapers for audit and statutory reporting
- Supporting compliance and reporting obligations, including year‑end
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives within finance
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree qualified in Finance or Business
- CA/CPA qualified member, or studying towards
- Strong financial accounting experience within manufacturing, agribusiness, commodities or industrial environments
- Confidence partnering with non‑finance stakeholders
- Experience working with JDE or similar large-scale ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
