About the job
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of various duties in the company’s financial operations and reporting. The Senior Accountant would report to the Finance Director and is essential in ensuring accuracy, efficiency and transparency and in our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Revenue calculation, accounting and reconciliation;
· Maintain financial records including recording accruals and prepayments, and reconciling balances, across entities in Malta and other European jurisdictions;
· Detailed support in timely completion of Management Accounts, including assisting in analysis and reporting;
· Support the preparation of reports as required;
· Support intra-group transactions;
· Collaborate with auditors and consultants including during Audit procedures;
· Conduct financial data analysis as required to support decision-making;
· Treasury responsibilities;
· Contribute to the development and enhancement of finance systems and tools;
· Other Ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
· Qualified accountant with minimum of 2 years’ experience;
· Technical accounting knowledge;
· Competency in MS Office (especially MS Excel) and accounting software;
· Accuracy and attention to detail with an aptitude for numbers;
· Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills;
· Willingness to learn on the job and manage their own processes;
· Keen to grow within a scaling organisation;
· Proactive and comfortable working in an international environment.
