Senior Accountant – International Accounting
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong international accounting experience to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing intercompany transactions, supporting global consolidations, and handling multi-currency accounting across multiple entities. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in accounting principles and experience working in a multi-entity, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions, including preparation and posting of journal entries
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for multiple global entities
- Support multi-currency accounting, including foreign currency remeasurement and translation
- Assist with financial consolidations and preparation of consolidated financial statements
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP (or applicable accounting standards)
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Partner with international teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or international environment
- Experience with intercompany accounting, consolidations, and multi-currency transactions
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (ERP experience preferred)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA candidate (preferred)
- Experience with global ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
- Prior experience working with international subsidiaries or foreign entities
