Ruder Finn is seeking a Senior Account Supervisor to join our Healthcare Practice. In this role, you will be a day-to-day lead across strategic communications programs for healthcare clients, helping drive integrated communications program inclusive of regulatory milestones, disease awareness efforts, social and influencer initiatives, patient advocacy efforts, and earned media efforts. You will work closely with senior account leadership and clients to shape and execute programs that advance client objectives, while also managing workstreams, timelines, budgets, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring high-quality, timely and error-free client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a day-to-day client and internal team contact, managing account activity and ensuring client objectives, priorities, and strategic vision are being advanced
- Provide thoughtful client counsel and recommendations that reflect an understanding of client priorities, the healthcare landscape, and communications best practices
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of clients’ businesses, including competitors, product landscapes, market trends, influencers, media dynamics, and factors that may impact communications strategy
- Contribute to the research, planning, and development of comprehensive, contemporary, and strategic public relations and integrated communications programs
- Apply innovative thinking to generate new, impactful, audience-focused ideas
- Identify potential issues early, elevate challenges with recommended solutions, and know when to seek senior counsel
- Lead the development of core communications materials, including media strategies, press releases, key message documents, social media content, briefing materials, communications plans, and client presentations
- Ensure strong quality control across client materials, reviewing for accuracy, strategic alignment, clarity, and polish
- Maintain a high level of responsiveness and communicate with clients, supervisors, and account teams in a clear, timely, and solutions-oriented manner
- Lead effective internal team communication, encourage collaboration, and invite ideas and creativity from junior team members
- Convey ideas clearly and confidently in client meetings and presentations
- Delegate effectively by setting clear expectations, deadlines, context, and measures of success
- Build program budgets, track finances, create SOWs, and support forecasting while ensuring resources align with client needs
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in public relations, communications, healthcare communications, or pharmaceutical communications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, biology, life sciences, or a related field
- Strong understanding of product communications, patient advocacy, disease awareness, and data/regulatory milestones
- Familiarity with clinical trial phases, FDA approvals, and the broader healthcare communications environment
- Experience with the MLR process and systems such as Veeva is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple client workstreams in a fast-paced agency environment
- Experience providing client counsel and managing day-to-day client relationships
- Experience mentoring, managing, or guiding junior team members
- Curiosity and comfort with integrating AI into communications and workflows
- Preferred knowledge and experience with healthcare public relations campaigns

The anticipated salary range for this position, at the time of posting, is $100,000 – $115,000. The salary of the applicant selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, internal equity, geography, relevant years of experience, certifications, skills, abilities of the selected applicant, and other job-related qualifications. In addition, a range of medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available by the company.
