Regional Vice President of Operations – Job Description

I. Position Overview

The Regional Vice President of Operations is responsible for managing the company's overall operational activities within a designated region, ensuring efficient business operations, performance achievement, and sustained growth. This role requires formulating regional strategies, optimizing operational processes, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration to achieve the company's overarching objectives.

II. Core Responsibilities

Regional Operations Management

Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of multiple business units or branches within the region

Ensure operations align with corporate strategic goals and standard operating procedures

Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and drive performance improvement

Strategic Execution and Implementation

Develop and execute regional development strategies and annual operating plans

Drive the implementation and localization of corporate strategies within the region

Analyze market trends and adjust operational strategies to maintain a competitive advantage

Team Management and Leadership Development

Lead the regional management team (e.g., Regional Managers, Operations Directors, etc.)

Build high-performance teams and drive talent development and succession planning initiatives

Enhance team execution capabilities and organizational efficiency

Finance and Cost Control

Responsible for regional budget formulation and execution

Control operational costs and improve profit margins

Analyze financial data and optimize resource allocation

Customer Relations and Business Development

Maintain key client relationships and enhance customer satisfaction

Drive regional business growth and market expansion

Identify new business opportunities and drive their realization

Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure regional operations comply with industry regulations and corporate policies

Manage operational risks and establish internal control mechanisms

Handle contingencies and manage crises

III. Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree or higher (majors in Business Administration, Operations Management, Healthcare Management, or related fields preferred)

MBA preferred

Work Experience:

20+ years of experience in operations management; 5+ years of experience in regional or multi-site/multi-branch management

Experience in the healthcare, manufacturing, retail chain, or service industries is preferred
