The Regional Director of Operations is a hands-on leader responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, and team development across a portfolio of hotel properties. This role repoets to the COO and requires a highly engaged leader who works closely with on-site teams, mentors General Managers, and ensures brand standards and guest experience expectations are consistently exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct leadership and ongoing mentorship to General Managers and property leadership teams
- Conduct regular property visits to support operations, reinforce standards, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Drive revenue growth and profitability through effective labor management, cost controls, and performance accountability
- Analyze financial reports (P&L, budgets, forecasts) and implement strategies to improve results
- Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, service culture, and guest satisfaction goals
- Partner with Sales and Revenue Management teams to maximize occupancy and ADR performance
- Lead hiring, training, coaching, and succession planning efforts across the region
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Support new hotel openings, transitions, and renovations as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and local/state laws
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive hotel operations experience, with multi-property oversight preferred
- Proven track record of improving operational and financial performance
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a hands-on, team-first approach
- Deep understanding of hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and sales
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and analyzing KPIs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region
