An international real estate investment firm with a significant and expanding portfolio across Europe and globally is seeking to strengthen its Luxembourg finance team with the addition of a Real Estate Controller.
The business invests across a broad range of real estate structures and with AuM continuing to grow year-on-year, the organization offers exposure to a diverse and sophisticated international portfolio.
This position will act as the right hand to the Head of Controlling in Luxembourg, providing significant visibility across the platform and playing a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Controlling in overseeing the financial management of a diverse real estate portfolio.
- Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting prepared by internal teams and external service providers.
- Monitor the financial performance of investment structures, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and variance analysis across multiple entities.
- Participate in the preparation and review of consolidated reporting packages for senior management and shareholders.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, administrators, tax advisors, banks, and legal counsel.
- Support acquisition, financing, refinancing, and restructuring projects from a finance and controlling perspective.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory, accounting, and corporate governance requirements.
- Drive process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of reporting frameworks and internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in controlling, financial reporting, fund accounting, or finance within:
- Real estate investment companies
- Real estate funds
- Private equity real estate platforms
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and international environment.
- Comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders and taking ownership of key workstreams.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills are advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required and Spanish or Portuguese will be considered a big advantage.
